56-Year Old Man Faces 95-Year Sentence for 14 Years of Sex Crimes

ROBERT J. GOULD FOUND GUILTY OF PREDATORY CRIMINAL SEXUAL ASSAULT OF A CHILD, CRIMINAL SEXUAL ASSAULT, AND AGGRAVATED CRIMINAL SEXUAL ABUSE

Patrick D. Kenneally, McHenry County State’s Attorney, announces that 56-year-old Robert J. Gould, of Wheeling, Illinois, was found guilty on November 17, 2022 of

  • three counts of Aggravated Criminal Sexual Abuse,
  • eight counts of Criminal Sexual Assault, and
  • ten counts of Predatory Criminal Sexual Assault of a Child

for sexually assaulting two victims from 2001 to 2015 following a jury trial in front of the Honorable Judge Michael Coppedge.

Defendant faces a mandatory minimum of 95 years in the Illinois Department of Corrections and, under truth-in-sentencing, must serve at least 85% of any sentence imposed. Defendant is scheduled to be sentenced by Judge Coppedge on January 27, 2023 at 1:30 P.M.

This case was investigated by Detective Constable Jennifer Lake of the Hilafax Regional Police in Canada and Sergeant Michelle Asplund of the McHenry County Sheriff’s Office.

The case was prosecuted by Sharyl Eisenstein and Tyler Mikan of the McHenry County State’s Attorney’s Office.

  1. I think he’s a Canuck, and was hiding up there after this happened.

    He’s not going to like where he’s going to spend the rest of his days here in “the States”, nor his treatment.

    He harmed innocent kids.

  2. The picture at first glance looks alot like Kenneally but guy has more hair.
