Flood Brothers is performing leaf pickup in the Glacier Ridge and Martin Woods subdivisions today.

Trees with leaves that drop in the fall has led McHenry to hire a company to vacuum leaves.

UPDATE:

Flood Brothers Disposal is committed to rectify the delays in leaf vacuuming services provided to City of McHenry residents by continuing collection with extended hours 7 days a week, ordering additional fleet to support the community, and expediting part orders directly through manufacturers. Flood Brothers is committed to extending services past December 9th to ensure all leaves set out are collected (weather permitting). To help expedite leaf vacuuming services, please keep leaf piles within 4 feet of the edge of pavement/curb, not on the pavement, and free of brush/branches as this damages the equipment.

The Unlimited Yard Waste Curbside Collection Program also allows for leaves to be collected in 2-ply 50#-weight disposable kraft paper bags, personal cans marked for yard waste not exceeding 35 gallons in size and 50 pounds in weight, and/or rentable 95-gallon yard waste bins through Flood Brothers for $3.25/month. There have been no delays in the weekly collection of this program on the resident’s regular refuse and recycling pickup day.

Not so in the oak-hickory forest of Lakewood.

  2. Ken, as you’re the largest wing nut here, please take the needy into your ‘home.’
