Free Pot Money

From State Senator Don DeWitte:

Pritzker authorizes $8.75 million in “Direct Forgivable Loans” for equity cannabis industry applicants

Calling it an issue of equity in the legal cannabis industry, Gov. Pritzker announced last week that he is making $8.75 million in Direct Forgivable Loans fully financed by taxpayers available to all conditionally approved social equity loan applicants in order to provide immediate access to capital.

Pending the completion of a simplified documentation process for equity applicants, forgivable loan amounts for qualified equity applicants between $50,000-$500,000 will be released immediately.

If this sounds like free money to some, but not all, cannabis industry investors, that’s because it is.

  1. He needs to be sued because this sounds very illegal to redistribute tax money based on the color of your skin.

He is picking winners and losers with our money.

Kind of like Joe’s student loan crap.

What ever happened to fair lending practices and reverse discrimination laws?

Ken Griffen needs to come back to Illinois and fight this fat bastard.

  2. These “equity applicants” that Pritzker claims are underrepresented in the legal cannabis industry tend to be very much overrepresented in the much larger and more lucrative illegal cannabis industry.

  3. Speaking of pot, what is Pam Alhoff’s paycheck and official title in this fiasco?

  4. Really mellow monkeybutt, we’ll see how Pritzk ends up.

The Khaddafy end will be mild in comparison.

I won’t shed any tears for the monster.
