Dec. 9, 2008 — “U.S. says Rod Blagojevich tried to sell Barack Obama’s Senate seat” via the Chicago Tribune —
The Illinois Governor and his chief of staff, John Harris, were arrested for what U.S. Attorney Patrick Fitzgerald called a “political corruption crime spree” that included attempts to sell the U.S. Senate seat vacated by the President-elect.
Blagojevich and Harris were named in a federal criminal complaint that alleged a wide-ranging criminal conspiracy aimed at providing financial benefits to the Governor, his political fund and to his wife, First Lady Patricia Blagojevich.
Blagojevich was taken into federal custody by FBI agents at his North Side home.
Corruption doesn’t exist in Illinois, County, Township and Municipal Governments as its not possible.
Politicians morals, ethics and values are better than John Q. Citizen.

In the game of political corruption, Hot Rod was small potatoes compared to to the likes of Madigan, Burke, and a slew of other Dems in this state.
Rod really should have been nicer to his father in law.
Dick could have taught him how to play the game without getting caught.
He’d never have been caught had he followed the Madigan formula of pretending to work and keeping his mouth shut.
But at least justice prevailed when then poor man was released early from prison.
Blago likes to bring up Obama’s gay past.
