Durkin Retiring Before End of Session, To Become Lobbyist?

From the Chicago Tribune comes this tidbit:

Jim Durkin

Under the feeble revolving door “ethics” law in Illinois, a legislator cannot lobby DURING the session in which he or she has served.

Previously Democrat Melinda Bush resigned from the State Senate.

Now comes, Jim Durkin following her example.

No one should be surprised if they become a registered lobbyist later this week.

  1. He has not done anything good for the GOP or IL citizens lately!!!

  2. Lobbyists. The biggest problem for this state. They lobby for higher taxes, the queer agenda and murdering the unborn all for a paycheck. Talk about no integrity. There you have it. I trust Durkin is just another RINO that will do the same.

If you work in government and decide to be a lobbyist upon retirement you should be required to give up your pension.

  3. A rotten puke. Typical RINO, he sold usout fir the 800th time when he cast the lone GOP to abolish the 2nd Amendment.

  4. jimmy slurpin durkin the jerkin gerkin is gone hooooooray

before he retired durkin furted and shurted.

jimmy durkin was twerkin so grossly — he was evil now he’s just lurkin!

  5. Lobbyists and consultants. Two of the MOST worthless occupations anyone has ever decided to follow. This is admitting you are a criminal willing to steal. Whatever happened to integrity? Oh, yeah, that doesn’t exist anymore.

  6. Did you include a link, which the program I use automatically puts into moderation?

I was watching “Tulsa King,” “The Sinner” and “1923” last night, instead of looking at comments.

  7. McConchie called him a conservative.

I call him and McConchie RATS.

  8. McConchie was ousted from leadership, too.
At least Durkin had the class to retire.
McConchie is going to linger in the back of the Senate conference meetings, which will be run by those who over-threw him?
