  1. Cal, sometime back, didn’t the McHenry Township board vote to make the township a guns are okay township or something like that?

  2. Townships here have zero law enforcement authority.

Any proclamation or vote on their part is ideological political posturing with no practical purpose.

  3. Is this weird Thursday or what?

First the rifle association sues our state’s attorney and our Sheriff as plaintiffs in a case wherein they are opposing the gun bill.

But the state’s attorney and the sheriff are both opposed to the bill one is refusing to enforce it and the other one is suing to overturn it what the hell is going on?

  4. The plaintiffs in the Illinois State Rifle Association suit named the two McHenry County officials because they are enforcement agents.

Seems to me that the Marengo Police should have been named as well.

  5. “As it stands, Kenneally is the only state’s attorney in Illinois to have filed such a lawsuit that they are aware of, Owens said.

But Kenneally said on Thursday he expects more to come based on conversations he’s had with other state’s attorneys.

“We have one of the larger civil divisions … in the state,” Kenneally said.

“Based on conversations I’ve had, … I do think this is just the first domino to fall.”

  6. That picture of Kenneally is from a performance at the ‘UpRising Bakery’ under the stage name ‘Bea H. Ole’ correct? That look on her face is priceless. ‘Where’d my microphone go?’

  7. Not true.

It comes from Catalina Lauf’s fund raiser at the Red Mill Inn.

  8. We Need to urge our County Board to follow suit and back up our Sheriff and States attorney and fight this ban
I understand that there are a few misguided members who are reluctant to stand up an be counted (you know who you are)…..to those, I say now is the time to back up those who back you up
