From the McHenry Police Department:
McHENRY POLICE INVESTIGATE REPORTED SHOOTING INCIDENT
On Tuesday, May 16th, 2023 at approximately 10:30 AM, ,the McHenry Police Department responded to the Fawn Ridge apartment complex in the 1900 Block of N. Orleans for a reported gunshot victim.
Officers arrived on scene and determined a 35-year-old male had suffered non-life-threatening gunshot wounds to both legs.
An officer gave first aid to the victim before he was transported by the McHenry Township Fire Protection District to Northwestern Medicine McHenry Hospital.
The injured party was then flown to Advocate Condell Medical Center in Libertyville for medical treatment.
The McHenry Police Department, in its preliminary investigation of this incident, has not developed any information to indicate there is a danger to our community.
No further information is able to be released at this time as the case remains an active investigation.
