Methodist Future Budget Being Drastically Cut as 3,838 (and Counting) Congregations Leave Mother Church

The proposed United Methodist Church budget is the lowest since 1984.

While 12.5% of local churches have jumped ship, the budget is 40% less than in 2016.

That seems to mean that churches leaving have heavy giving members, compared to the ones staying with the increasing liberal denomination.

  1. Something similar is starting to happen in the Episcopal Church.

It’s kind of hard to believe it now, but the Episcopal Church used to be the church of choice for blue blood types in this country.

Wokeism has infected that church bigly, and many people have left in protest.

Some of these people have joined relatively new traditional Anglican congregations, and a few entire Episcopal parishes have also broken away to join.

I expect this trend to accelerate as the Episcopal Church continues to blunder its way down the crazy path it is on.
