Health Department’s Recommendations for a Healthy Fall

From the McHenry County Health Department:

Preparing for Respiratory Illness Season

MCHENRY COUNTY, IL – As the fall season approaches, respiratory illnesses are expected to increase.

The McHenry County Department of Health is urging the public to take proactive measures to protect themselves and the community from common respiratory illnesses such as Influenza, COVID-19, and RSV (Respiratory Syncytial Virus).

Respiratory illnesses primarily affect the respiratory system, including the lungs and airways, leading to symptoms like coughing, sneezing, and difficulty breathing. These conditions can range from mild discomfort to severe respiratory distress.

To minimize their spread, follow these important guidelines:

  • Wash Hands Frequently: Proper hand hygiene is one of the most effective ways to prevent the transmission of germs. Wash your hands with soap and water for at least 20 seconds, especially after being in public places or touching potentially contaminated surfaces.
  • Cover Your Mouth and Nose: When coughing or sneezing, always use a tissue or your elbow to cover your mouth and nose. Dispose of used tissues properly and wash your hands promptly.
  • Stay Home When Ill: If you are feeling unwell, with symptoms such as fever, cough, or shortness of breath, it’s crucial to stay home. Rest and isolation help prevent the spread of illness to others.
  • Avoid Close Contact: Maintain physical distance from individuals who are displaying symptoms of respiratory illnesses. Steer clear of close contact, including hugging and shaking hands.
  • Clean and Disinfect: Regularly clean and disinfect frequently touched surfaces at home, work, and school. High-touch areas like doorknobs, light switches, and countertops should be a priority.
  • Get Vaccinated: When vaccines become available for respiratory illnesses, ensure that you and your loved ones are up-to-date with immunizations. Vaccines are a vital tool in reducing the severity of illness and preventing its spread.

For more than 50 years, the McHenry County Department of Health has worked to prevent disease and promote health. The Department of Health can be reached by calling 815-334-4510 or visiting  www.mcdh.info.

I’m surprised that no mention is made of the open burning of leaves, e.g., in Johnsburg.

  1. As Dr. Fauci recommends – don’t forget to double mask and practice “socialist distancing”.

Clot shots work in preventing and communicating the WuFlu, get yours before it’s too late.

And remember – Big Pharma is counting on you to make their stockholders even more wealthy.

  2. Not a word on proper rest, nutrition, supplements, nothing.

Typical State Run and govt funded Operation.

Useless, self serving, get the innocent sick or killed.

Sorry, Covid days reinforced the need to take care of yourselves, do your own research and dont rely on anything with the Govt associated with it; State, Local Feds all the same garbage.

Ok, wash your hands is a good tip.

  3. “Do your own research…” the irony is not lost when this advice is posted to ole cal and his band of less than bright group of scientist. Soon the self-taught researchers will be blaming the Jews for Covid and all other self identified perceived injustices they have had to endure in their miserable lives.

  4. Here Lil tommy. Follow the CDC guidance and science. Brought to you by Pfizer. LOL. The same gov’t that tells you a jab will cure you is the same gov’t that tells you they can fix the climate. Absolutely priceless the stupidity of the average American that buys into that crap.

  5. and our first contestant is ole’ jt. Yep he is anything but the “average American”. ole jt qualifies as an anti-American.

  6. My MD gave me top scores on my annual last week, so following the past advice of 4 of 5 doctors, that I should smoke Marlboro over Kool, was the right choice.

  7. MCDH: take your “recommendations” and pipe them where the sun won’t shine.

  8. Ms Trumpion’s comment has got Little Snowflake Tommy quite excited for some reason.
    What could that be ?

  9. ole abe …comes out of hiding. Get a backbone and leave America you lil weakling.

  10. Tom, take your oriental ‘husband’ and head to Indochina.

And try not to have any further airport embarrassing scenes of high drama when you two are ordered to ‘eject’ the ‘battery powered neck messagers’ from your bums!
