Businessman Mark Rice (R, Chicago) has thrown his hat into the ring to seek the Republican nomination in the 8th Congressional District in 2024.

The IL-08 includes the Kane County portion of the village of Algonquin, and most of the Kane County portion of the village of Huntley.

During the Republican Jewish Coalition meeting last month in Las Vegas, Rice was interviewed about his race in IL-08 by JNS (Jewish News Syndicate).

Rice is serious about challenging 4-term incumbent Congressman Raja Krishnamoorthi (D, Schaumburg).
