Algonquin Secures $100,000 for Local Infrastructure Improvements, Roads, Water, and Sewer Systems to Benefit from State-Backed Funding

ALGONQUIN, IL – The Village of Algonquin is pleased to announce the receipt of $100,000 in state funding, awarded with the support of State Representative Martin McLaughlin (R), 52nd District, to advance local infrastructure initiatives.

“We sincerely appreciate this funding for infrastructure projects in Algonquin and the continued support from our state legislators,” stated Village President Debby Sosine. “These grants enable us to undertake critical improvements that will have lasting benefits for our community.”

This funding will contribute to the Village’s $48.3 million capital improvement program for Fiscal Year 2024-2025, which encompasses significant road projects, including enhancements along Broadsmore Drive, Stonegate Road, Eastgate Drive, areas within the Willoughby Farms Subdivision, and elements of the Old Town Algonquin Streetscape. These projects align with the Village’s ongoing commitment to strengthening roadway, sanitary sewer, storm sewer, and water main systems to serve the needs of residents and businesses.
