State Representative Martin McLaughlin Declares Victory in House District 52

Barrington Hills, IL — State Representative Martin McLaughlin (R-Barrington Hills) has declared victory in the race for Illinois House District 52 following confirmation from the Associated Press and seven other news agencies.

“After several days of watching ballots come in from multiple counties, my lead has become insurmountable.

“With the latest vote tallies from Lake County trending in my favor, I am honored to declare victory in the 52nd House District,” said McLaughlin.

“I am deeply humbled and grateful to the voters who reviewed my record and supported my campaign. Thank you to my dedicated supporters, volunteers, and family for standing by me and making this third term possible.”

McLaughlin also reflected on the challenges faced during the campaign.

“After the Speaker and Majority Democrats provided my opponent with over three million in campaign contributions to misrepresent my record and positions, the great people of the 52nd District were nevertheless still able to see through these negative lies and provide me with another opportunity to represent our interests in Springfield.

“We should be beyond a time when candidates resort to defamation and misrepresentation.

“Unfortunately, that standard has not yet reached Illinois. I pledge to remain direct and honest in addressing the serious issues facing our district and to uphold these values in all my campaign activities.”

McLaughlin expressed his gratitude to the poll workers and county clerks for their work during this election.

“Thank you to all the dedicated Americans who volunteered at the polls and to our county clerks for their hard work each election. Your service is invaluable.”

“God bless Illinois, and God bless America,” McLaughlin concluded.= = = = =
