On election Republican Seth Cohen was leading incumbent Democrat Jan Schakowsky in Algonquin Township, the part of McHenry County gerrymandered into a congressional district with Evanston and part of Chicago.
Adding in the provisional and mailed in votes, Schakowsky won McHenry County.
