No one injured during the Robbery of an ATM at Bank of America
Lake in the Hills, IL – No one was injured on Tuesday, December 17, 2024 during the robbery of an ATM a
Bank of America ATM, 240 N. Randall Road that occurred at 6:08 p.m.
Lake in the Hills police officers were dispatched to the bank when an ATM technician called to report the
ATM at the Bank of America was being robbed.
It was reported to police after exiting a dark colored sedan, several suspects approached the ATM while the technician was servicing the machine.
The suspects were described as wearing black clothing, ski masks and gloves.
The technician got into a work vehicle and drove out of sight of the suspects and called 9-1-1.
The suspects robbed the ATM and drove away in the sedan.
No weapons were displayed or implied.

During further investigation, officers were able to determine the vehicle, a four-door sedan, went southbound on Randall Road.
This is an ongoing and active investigation.
Officers are working diligently with Bank of America and local businesses to gather video footage and further information.
The Lake in the Hills Police Department is also working closely with the Federal Bureau of Investigations (FBI) Chicago Field Office to investigate this incident.
