Route 14 Motor Vehicle Accident
McHenry County Coroner, Dr. Michael Rein, announced that his office was contacted on 12/23/2024 by Northwestern Hospital McHenry to investigate the death of Andrea Papapitro, age 68 of Crystal Lake.
Ms. Papapitro was involved in a motor vehicle collision at 4447 NW Highway in Crystal Lake.
Ms. Papapitro was assessed at the scene and conscious when EMS arrived.
Ms. Papapitro subsequently went into cardiac arrest and was transported to Northwestern Medical McHenry where she was pronounced deceased.
The Coroner Office has taken over the case for final determination of cause of death.
The Coroner’s Office is continuing to work collaboratively with Crystal Lake PD, Crystal Lake Fire Rescue Department and Northwestern Medical McHenry.
