The Land Conservancy and MCC’s Center for Agrarian Learning Host a Free CSA Fair Feb. 8

The family-friendly event is an opportunity to meet local farmers

Woodstock, IL – The Land Conservancy of McHenry County and McHenry County College’s (MCC) Center for Agrarian Learning are hosting a CSA (Community-Supported Agriculture) Fair Saturday, Feb. 8, from 1-4:00 p.m. at McHenry County College, 8900 Northwest Hwy., Crystal Lake.

The event is free, and no registration is required.

The CSA Fair is a new, family friendly event that will include farmer’s booths, children’s activities, light refreshments and a selection of agriculture-related short films.

Local farms participating include:

  • Adama Farm,
  • Piscasaw Gardens,
  • Prairie’s Edge Garden,
  • Middlebury Farms,
  • Wild Trillium Farm, LLC,
  • Broadview Farm and Gardens LLC,
  • Tsedah Farms and
  • Wonder Farm Earth, LLC.

Three short films will be shown during the event:

  • 1:30 p.m. Into the Soil: The Wisdom of Regenerative Farming
  • 2:15 p.m. The Land for Our Food
  • 3 p.m. Soul of a Farmer, a film by Roger Sherman

The Land Conservancy of McHenry County is a member-based private nonprofit dedicated to preserving natural, scenic and agricultural land.
