The Chicago Metropolitan Agency for Planning (the successor of the Northeast Illinois Planning Commission) has a survey being promoted by McHenry County.
I decided to fill it out so I could point out two suggested road improvements:
- the need for a longer right-turn lane on Algonquin Road going west on to Pyott Road in front of the firehouse
- the need for a traffic signal at the intersection of Ackman and Huntley Road where making a left turn from Huntley Road on to Ackman Road
I also believe there should be sidewalks on at least one side of Route 14 from Main Street to Route 31.

Help make our roads safer by taking the CMAP safe travel survey
