Crashes in Marengo and Woodstock

Morning Crashes in Marengo and Woodstock Amid Winter Weather

The Marengo Fire & Rescue Districts and Woodstock Fire/Rescue District responded to separate vehicle crashes this morning, as road conditions remained slick following recent snowfall. 

Kishwaukee Valley Road Rollover

At approximately 6:30 a.m., the Marengo Fire & Rescue Districts responded to the 18100 block of Kishwaukee Valley Road for a reported crash with entrapment.

Upon arrival, crews found a vehicle on its side in a ditch with moderate damage.

The female driver had already exited the vehicle prior to their arrival.

Paramedics evaluated the driver at the scene, but she refused additional medical treatment.

Fire personnel remained on scene while law enforcement partially closed the roadway to ensure a safe working environment.

Three-Way Woodstock Irving Avenue Crash

At approximately 7:30 a.m., the Woodstock Fire/Rescue District was dispatched for a motor vehicle crash in the 300 block of Irving Avenue.

Upon arrival, crews located a three-vehicle crash with one vehicle off the roadway.

One individual sustained minor injuries and was transported to a local hospital for treatment.

The other parties involved were uninjured and refused medical evaluation.

While the exact causes of the crashes remain under investigation by the respective law enforcement agencies, winter weather may have been a contributing factor.

Additional rounds of snow are expected over the coming days, and drivers are urged to remain cautious and vigilant.
