Two-Vehicle Crash at Route 14 & Hartland Road

On Thursday, February 27, 2025, at 6:12 a.m., the Woodstock Fire/Rescue District responded to the intersection of Route 14 and Hartland Road for a reported vehicle crash.

Upon arrival, crews found a two-vehicle crash with heavy damage, with one vehicle approximately 50 feet into a cornfield

While most occupants had exited their vehicles prior to the arrival of first responders, one driver required assistance from their vehicle.

No extrication was required.

A total of three ambulances were requested, and three adult patients were transported to local hospitals with minor injuries.

Fire crews remained on scene for approximately 45 minutes to ensure a safe work area while patients were evaluated before being transported.

Route 14 was closed in both directions during the incident.

The McHenry County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the crash. Any additional questions regarding the investigation, including the cause of the crash, contributing factors, or roadway conditions, should be directed to their office.
