Included in the McHenry County Board’s Tuesday agenda is a resolution to allow off-duty McHenry County Sheriff’s Deputies to police the Village of Hebron.

Hebron will pay $70 an hour for regular patrols, plus the same amount ((in increments of fifteen minutes) per deputy if additional deputies are needed. Animal calls are excluded, to be handled by The Public Health Department’s Animal Control.

Community policing with interactions between Deputies and residents is the goal.

The resolution calls only for such service to be provided for the months of April and May.
