T-Bone Collision Leaves Driver Seriously Injured

On Thursday, March 27, 2025, at 12:03 p.m., the Woodstock Fire/Rescue District responded to the intersection of Route 120 and N. Queen Anne Road for a reported crash with entrapment.

Crews arrived on scene within minutes and found a T-bone style collision involving a semi-truck and a sedan.

The semi-truck, which was hauling machinery, sustained only minor damage.

However, the impact caused moderate intrusion into the sedan, trapping the adult male driver inside.

The seriously injured driver was extricated within 10 minutes and transferred to an awaiting ambulance.

He was transported to the helipad at Northwestern Medicine Woodstock Hospital and then airlifted to a Level 1 trauma center for further treatment.

The driver of the semi-truck declined medical treatment at the scene.

The Woodstock Police Department is investigating the crash. Any additional questions regarding the investigation, including cause, fault, seatbelt use, or vehicle speeds, should be directed to the Woodstock Police Department
