Musk Reminds Me of Record Keeping by the Small Business Administration in 1965

I was the Budget Examiner in the United States Bureau of the Budget (now the Office of Management and Budget) for the Small Business Administration.

Before returned to Crystal Lake to run for McHenry County Treasurer I asked the SBA’s Budget Officer what the loss rate on the SBA loans was.

He told me no one knew.

Why?

The loans information was kept on notecards.
