Overnight Vehicle Rollover with Entrapment

On Saturday, March 29, 2025, at 12:25 a.m., the Woodstock Fire/Rescue District responded to the area of Washburn Street and Brown Street in Woodstock for a reported motor vehicle crash with entrapment.

Crews arrived within minutes and discovered a vehicle resting on its roof in a grassy field approximately 100 feet off the roadway.

It appeared the vehicle had gone airborne before coming to rest.

The adult male driver was found unconscious and trapped inside the heavily damaged vehicle.

Firefighters quickly worked to stabilize the vehicle and gain access to the patient, extricating him within 10 minutes.

A medical helicopter was initially requested but was unable to fly due to weather conditions.

The driver was transported by ambulance to Northwestern Medicine Huntley Hospital with critical injuries.

No additional hazards were noted, and fire crews cleared the scene shortly after 1:15 a.m.

The crash remains under investigation by the Woodstock Police Department.
