58-Year Old John Alvarez was arrested at Second Street and Route 14 for failure to surrender a revoked Firearm Owners Identification Card.
The charge is a misdemeanor.
“The officer stopped the driver because the vehicle he was driving had expired registration.,” Scott Naydenoff, Deputy Chief of Support Services, wrote.
“The officer saw the FOID card in the driver’s wallet while he was providing his ID.
“The officer confirmed the FOID card was revoked and made the arrest.”
A warning was issued for the expired registration.
