Cherry Valley Road Accident
On April 6, 2025, at approximately 8:50 pm, the McHenry Township Fire Protection District responded to a single-vehicle accident off the roadway with entrapment in the 1200 block of Cherry Valley Rd.
Crews arrived in seven minutes and immediately initiated advanced life support on a patient trapped inside a sedan.
Multiple crews used specialized rescue equipment to free the victim from the wreckage within 15 minutes.
Paramedics transported the patient to Northwestern McHenry Hospital, where care was transferred to a LifeNet medical helicopter and flown to a Level 1 Trauma Center.
The accident required Cherry Valley Rd. to be shut down so that law enforcement could conduct an accident investigation.
