SHEFALI SHAH CLAIMS VICTORY IN DUNDEE TOWNSHIP SUPERVISOR RACE

EAST DUNDEE – Shefali Shah (D, East Dundee) announces she’s claiming victory in the April 1, 2025, Consolidated Election for Dundee Township supervisor as unofficial returns from the Kane County clerk’s office show her lead growing since election night.

After leading by 97 votes on election night, Supervisor-elect Shah’s lead has grown to 256 votes over incumbent Supervisor Arin Thrower (R, East Dundee) according to unofficial returns.

“I’m grateful to the voters of Dundee Township for electing me to serve as their next township supervisor.

“The electorate will learn I will be a true servant leader on day 1 when I am sworn-in on May 19 and I will serve all residents of the township. I plan to use the next 6 weeks to begin my onboarding into the duties and responsibilities of the office I’ve been elected to serve.”

Proving her commitment to serve all residents, Supervisor-elect Shah is working with the Township’s Mental Health Board President Marc Avelar of Algonquin on her transition.

“While the Democrats swept all 5 Township Board races and the clerk’s office, President Avelar,
a recognized leader on mental health through his 2 ¼ years leading the Mental Health Board, is proof my administration will involve all residents regardless of their political background,” – Supervisor-elect Shefali Shah
