From the Cary fire Protection District:

On Saturday, April 19, 2025, at 2:32 p.m., the Cary Fire Protection District was dispatched to the 7100 block of S. Rawson Bridge Road in unincorporated Cary for a reported four-wheeler crash.

Crews arrived on scene within minutes and located an overturned Utility Task Vehicle (UTV) at the rear of the property, with an adult male pinned beneath it.

Firefighters quickly extricated the man and began assessing him, along with two juveniles who had also been onboard when the vehicle rolled over.

All three individuals were transported by ambulance to Good Shepherd Hospital in Barrington with minor injuries.

“We are thankful that the outcome of this crash resulted in non-life-threatening injuries,” said Cary Fire Chief Brad Delatorre.

“As the weather continues to warm, we remind residents to use extra caution when operating off-road vehicles and watercraft.

“These activities can quickly turn dangerous, even in familiar surroundings.”

The McHenry County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the crash. Any additional questions regarding the investigation, including the cause of the crash or contributing factors, should be directed to their office.
