From the Woodstock Fire/Rescue Distrit:

Vehicle Crash with Utility Pole Impact Closes Country Club Road

On Wednesday, April 23, 2025, at 8:41 a.m., the Woodstock Fire/Rescue District was dispatched to the intersection of Country Club Road and Bull Valley Road for a reported vehicle crash.

Upon arrival, crews located a single vehicle off the roadway just east of the intersection.

The vehicle had struck a utility pole and sustained heavy damage.

Two occupants were inside the vehicle at the time of the crash and were quickly rescued by firefighters.

The adult female driver was transported to a local hospital with minor injuries. The adult male passenger was evaluated on scene and declined additional medical treatment.

Due to the extent of damage to the utility pole and overhead power lines, Country Club Road remains closed for an undetermined amount of time while ComEd crews are being dispatched to assess and complete necessary repairs.

The McHenry County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the crash. Any questions regarding the cause of the crash, seat belt use, speeds, or fault should be directed to their office.
