From the Coroner:
McHenry County Coroner, Dr. Michael Rein, announced that his office was contacted on April 23, 2025 at around 6:30am by Woodstock Police Department to investigate the death of Nicholas Panosian, age 40, of Harvard.
Mr. Panosian was spotted in a ditch on the side of the road at around the intersection of Rt. 14 and Washington St. in Woodstock.
Mr. Panosian appeared to be riding his motorcycle at the time. Mr Panosian was pronounced deceased at
the scene.
An autopsy was performed on April 25, 2025. Preliminary findings show blunt force trauma as the cause of death. Toxicology is currently pending.
The Coroner’s Office is continuing to work with Woodstock Police Department, Woodstock Fire Rescue District and McHenry County Major Crash Assistance Team (MCAT) during this investigation.
