From the McHenry County Transportation Department:
Hunter Road Bridge Project
WOODSTOCK, IL – The McHenry County Division of Transportation announces the start of the Hunter Road Bridge Project.
The project is scheduled to start May 12 and is expected to be completed by October 31, 2025, weather permitting.
Hunter Road will be closed starting May 12, 2025, from White Oaks Road to Ryan Road.
Local access to homes will be maintained at all times.
Signage will be placed to notify road users of the upcoming road closure.

The detour redirects traffic from the intersection of Hunter Road and White Oaks Road to Hunter Road and Capron Road.
The detour will use White Oaks Road, IL-173 and Capron Road to bridge the gap in Hunter Road.
Signs will be posted along the designated route to help guide vehicle drivers while the detour is in place.
The project will replace the existing bridge on Hunter Road over Little Beaver Creek with a 3- sided precast concrete structure along with other roadway improvements.
