Dropped off at the Algonquin Township Hall yesterday was the following document stating no Democrtic Party candidates will contest the winners of the February Republlican Primary Election:

Hard to believe the reason is lack of money because the county party had almost $59,000 in the bank at the end of September and picked up checks of $10,000 from Governor Pritzker on October 22nd and $1,5000 from the state party on November 14th.

Additionally, McHenry County Democratic Women has over $12,000 at the end of September.

Of course, much of that might have been spent on the unsuccessful campaigns of Kelli Wegener against County Board Chairman Mike Buehler (55%-45%), Mary Mahady (53%-47%) against State Rep. Steve Reick and District 1 County Board member Theresa Meshes against challenger Pat Sullivan (53%-47
