From the Cororner:
McHenry County Coroner, Dr. Michael Rein, announced that his office was contacted on January 24, 2025, by Northwestern McHenry Hospital ER to investigate the death of Michael De Brock, age 61 of Spring Grove.
The decedent was involved in a 2-car motor vehicle accident near the intersection of Main St. and Villa Vista St. in Spring Grove.
Mr. De Brock was transported to Northwestern McHenry ER where he was pronounced deceased.
An autopsy was performed on January 27, 2025.
Preliminary findings show the cause of death as blunt force trauma.
The Coroner’s Office is continuing to work collaboratively with Northwestern McHenry Hospital, McHenry County Sheriff’s Office, Spring Grove Fire District, McHenry Township Fire Protection District and Spring Grove PD.
