From a Friend of McHenry County Blog:

Some people can’t catch a break

A local organization called United for Freedom Coalition PAC was launched in January.

Its chair is Jacqueline Garretson, its vice chair is Kelly Eagan, and its treasurer is Kevin Byrnes.

Its goal is “supporting candidates who uphold and protect the constitution.”

The PAC raised $300 in the first quarter and spent a little over $149, leaving it with a little under $151.

The expenditures are not itemized so it is not clear what the money was spent on, but Byrnes himself was a candidate for township office and he lost during the February primary.

Also coming up short in February was former McHenry County Sheriff candidate Tony Colatorti.

Kevin Byrnes and Tony Colatorti were running on a slate to be Algonquin Township trustees.

Byrnes was Colatorti’s campaign spokesperson during the 2022 primary.

Robb Tadelman won the primary and went on to become Sheriff without Democratic Party opposition.

Tony Colatorti’s wife Brittany has filed a lawsuit in McHenry County court to remove Republican State Senator Darby Hills. She is being represented by Tom DeVore and the next court date is in May.

I am not sure what happens if DeVore’s law license is suspended for 60 days and the court date falls within that time frame as looks to be the case. Maybe there will be an extension or maybe someone else from Silver Lake Group will handle it.

Garretson is a former campaign staffer for DeVore.

DeVore’s has a new PAC too and it did even worse than Garretson’s.

“Tom DeVore’s RINO Removal” (that’s its actual name) has only raised $100.
