Mike Shorten barely won his seat on the McHenry Cunty B0ard two years ago. That was not the case this year.. He won by almost 2,000 votes.

Mike Buehler, the man who ousted Jack Franks from the McHenry County Board chairmanship four years ago, has trounced this year’s Democratic Party challenger Kelli Wegener. With all precincts reporting Buehler leads by 17,009.
This year more Republicans voted for their congressional candidate than did Democrata. Two years ago the Democrat, Jan Schakowsky carried Algonquin Township. Not so this year. Seth Cohen beat her.
