McHenry County Holidays — 7 Comments

  1. Don’t forget to add the up to 20 days of regular vacation per year.

Plus the Sick Days of between 12 to 20 days/year which can accumulate (i.e. “banked”)up to 240 days.

Those days in excess of 240 are either then paid out by the County or they are converted back into more regular vacation days.

The 16 budget shows Sick Leave Buyback expense of $266,549.

Does this policy make any sense?

  2. Everyday is a holiday for these overpaid people … only a fraction of whom are competent, deserving, diligent, and/or faithful.

  3. Suzie Kinzie gets paid that much just to make coffee and chat all day about the most inconsequential matters … thinks like rating her pedicures from various local spas!

She also likes to brag about her really, really bizarre ‘hobby’ …. collecting half-eaten food items by Hollywood celebrities and others ……

Ask her about her Angelina Jolie pizza crusts …

or her fabulous beverage can collection of cans supposedly drunk out of by the likes of Dennis Hopper, Paul Lynde and Nanette Fabray.

Yes, these are the sort of people your tax dollars are supporting for very, very little!

  4. Mandatory binding arbitration for public safety employees has got to go. It is too easy for the unions to game the system.

It is the main reason that we have so many sgts in the sheriff’s department making $99k+ in a year, along with all the shenanigans with the sick days and the vacation days.

Madigan’s evil minions came very close to expanding binding arbitration to other state employees.

We have to get those clowns out of office.

  5. Since Presidents Day is a Holiday, Lincolns Birthday should not be a holiday.

  6. This is just a tiny part of what is occurring.

The salary lists on this blog don’t show the incredible overtime earned by sheriff’s employees.

The new Sheriff has done well but the same inept supervisors handing out overtime hand over fist rather than managing are still there.

Add to that all the employees with County cars, free gas and free insurance and you have another sinkhole full of taxpayer money.
