18-Year Old Man Found Dead in Woodstock Corn Field

Missing Person/Death Investigation

The McHenry County Sheriff’s Office is conducting a missing person/death investigation involving Ryan Hanson, 19 years of age, of Woodstock.

On Monday, September 4, 2017 at approximately 6:00 p.m., the Sheriff’s Office received a report that Ryan Hanson was missing.

Sheriff’s Deputies began an investigation and located Ryan’s vehicle, a 2003 Honda CRV, pulled into a farm access point in the 12100 Block of Charles Road, unincorporated Woodstock.

A canine search was conducted and Ryan was found deceased approximately 1100 feet from his vehicle.

Preliminary investigation indicates that Ryan did not suffer any trauma and the death investigation is ongoing in conjunction with the McHenry County Coroner’s Office.
