At the Chicago Metropolitan Agency for Planning Wednesday, the City of Crystal Lake received a $1.4 million grant to construct a second left-turn lane from Virginia Street Road to Virginia Street, otherwise known Route 14.
That’s what McHenry County’s member Joe Gottemoller said last night.
There was opposition to the improvement on Randall at Alg.
There was opposition to the new round-about on Charles.
Why does this improvement any different?
The improvement to 2 left turn lanes is a no-brainer.
It is sorely needed.
I remember Algonquin Road having three-lane left turn lanes.
