To date, Gradel is only IL-14 congressional candidate to sign ATR pledge
ICYMI (and McHenry County Blog counted among those who missed this), 14th congressional district candidate Ted Gradel signed the “No New Taxes Pledge” of Americans for Tax Reform (ATR) in mid October.
At the end of November, Gradel is the only 14th district candidate to sign ATR’s pledge.
“We are ecstatic about Mr. Gradel’s commitment to the taxpayers of Illinois. I challenge all candidates for Illinois’ 14th Congressional District to make the same commitment to taxpayers by signing the Taxpayer Protection Pledge today.” continued Norquist.
Grover Norquist, president of ATR
.
The verbiage of the pledge for federal officeholders is below:
“I, Ted Gradel pledge to the taxpayers of the state of Illinois, and to the American people that I will:
“ONE, oppose any and all efforts to increase the marginal income tax rates for individuals and/or businesses;
“and TWO, oppose any net reduction or elimination of deductions and credits, unless matched dollar for dollar by further reducing tax rates.”

Lame Llamaboy LLavunno comes from a dysfunctional narco-state and desires to now destroy us. He is not good for anything but wants what we worked for.
In addition to Ted Gradel, multiple candidates have signed the Taxpayer Protection Pledge in the IL-14 race including Jim Oberweis, Catalina Lauf, and James Marter.
