President’s comment on Randall’s Road is sickening, telling taxpayers in a region of 3%-4% property tax rates how wonderful our lives will be when we are overtaxed even more for a road we will rarely use, to put more profits into pockets of corrupt politicians and thus embolden them to further taxpayer abuse.

Look up the history of Randall Road public spending on this blog going back to 2014:

Wife/highly paid secretary of Randall rd. czar Miller was Chairman of county board committee responsible for steering millions of County tax dollars to project. (It was later shown that the Miller family spent public money using Township credit cards on personal items).

Project was unnecessary based on traffic counts.

R. Rd. Properties purchased by County at obscenely high prices at the height of the real estate crash (while credit was frozen and you couldn’t sell properties at any price).

Cost spent per lane-mile was extraordinary by comparison to everywhere in America and even Illinois; the patronage and nepotism of Algonquin road district at that time was stunning.

This little bit of roadway has little or no bearing on the lives of the vast majority of McHenry County residents. Yet inordinate amount of County tax dollars were spent there.

That our President would make this comment indicates he is completely ignorant of the serious longstanding economic problems in this region… or he is so indifferent we should be very frightened to live here.
