It’s the SuperPAC ad being run in Congressman Don Manzullo’s district in the hope of replacing a ten-term veteran with freshman Adam Kinzinger.
There is more than a little irony to using a old ship to criticize Manzullo.
"End Manzullo's Cruise" is the message.
Back in the 1990′s I attended a meeting in Rockford in which Manzullo told how the U.S. Navy was giving decommissioned ships to foreign countries.
He figure they had some value, so passed legislation to require some payment.
