Both candidates for McHenry County Treasurer–Glenda Miller and Jeff Thorsen–were present.

Probably signaling there will not be a Democratic Party opponent was the presence of State Rep. Jack Franks (D-Marengo) and prominent McHenry attorney Pat McAndrews.
