Today in the Northwest Herald, a couple thanks State Rep. Jack Franks for voting for same-sex marriage.
On top of the front page photo story about his voting for gay marriage, it’s pretty certain that most voters know what hew did.
Is this a winning issue in the 63rd District?
Tune in tomorrow and see the poll results from the 64th District.
Conventional wisdom is that Frank’s district is more conservative that Mike Tryon’s.
Republican Steve Reick is challenging Franks next year. His web site is here.
What do you expect from a DemocRAT?
Look what they have done in Washington all the way to county government.
Why? Because the NWH wrote about it? You actually think that most voters read the NWH?!?!
Jack Franks’ district actually supports marriage equality in the polling I saw this past spring. But even if it didn’t — he absolutely did the right thing.
Thanks Jack Franks.
Please tell us what you remember about the polling.
I don’t know that the polling was ever made public, so I won’t share. B
I’m curious to see the polling in HD64 and who did the polling.
Also — not sure what your point was about being more conservative than Tryon’s district.
Do you have polling from Tryon’s district?
Look back tomorrow.
Cal said, “Is [Same Sex Marriage] a winning issue in the 63rd District?”
When did Jack ever run on Same Sex Marriage?
He has been a fiscal hawk, just like Cal Skinner was.
Steve Reick talks like he is an uppity prince and better than all of us when he tried to attack Jack about Same Sex Marriage.
Who wants some Missouri carpet bagger as a State Rep.
NOT ME!
Jack Franks did the right thing, providing equal rights.
Is that not what we elect our officials to do.
What is the criticism of doing the right thing.
This provides the rights of the at a Federal Level to all Same Sex Marriages, this has nothing to do with Religion it is about rights and being equal.
GREAT JOB JACK and GREG HARRIS for making our state become equal.
The big question is why did McSweeney not vote Yes, when in his last Town Hall, people were in favor of it in District 52?
