The McHenry County Combine Comes to a Woodstock Street

Readers know that I take photos at parades, specializing in political connections.

(No, I am not going to run the pictures of Andy Zinke from the Crystal Lake Independence Day Parade again.)

But this is about his campaign.

I have pointed out earlier that he and his boss Keith Nygren have a close political relationship with Democratic Party State Representative Jack Franks.

Both were on the Host Committee, along with some GOP County Board members.

Take a look at the Jack Franks signs right next to the Andy Zinke signs on Dean Street in Woodstock.

Andy Zinke's campaign for Sheriff is linked with Jack Franks' campaign, even though Franks has no primary election opponent.

So what’s going on.

Chicago Tribune columnist John Kass writes of the bi-partisan Illinois political “Combine.”

Anyone who believes there is not a bi-partisan McHenry County Combine isn’t paying attention.

  1. I will tell you what’s going on here.

There is no Democrat candidate running for Sheriff and they are simply choosing the right man, for the right job for Sheriff of McHenry County, Undersheriff Andrew Zinke.

  2. Fukoku: You must have inside information to know this.

In other words the Dems are not planning to run a candidate unless Zinke wins the Republican primary?

Can we assume that Zinke could not win running honestly as a Democrat?

  3. This reveals a few things:

    1) The ineptness of the Republican Party organization is in McHenry County.

    2) Nygren/Zinke are Democrats who pretend to be Republican to get elected.

    3) Republican elected officials who have supported Zinke are too dense to recognize #2.

  4. Bait and switch is what the Nygren/Zinke Regime do, time to clean up McHenry County.

Trying to confuse the Voters will end soon!!!!

  5. Pretty sure party REALLY doesn’t matter when it comes to service and protection of the community.

That said, I saw Prim signs by Marian with Jack signs next to to them.

Where’s the fake outrage from that?

  6. Excellent work, Sherlock! Proof positive of a nefarious conspiracy by the Franks/Nygren/Zinke cabal to destroy our Constitutional freedoms while enslaving the good People of McHenry County under a Taliban-like dictatorship.

If Franks & Zinke win, prepare to move to France with Alex Baldwin!

These poor homeowners must have been threatened by SEIU, NEA/IEA and Local 150 “thugs” and forced to place these signs in their front yards by order of no less than Grand Wizard of the Combine Jack Franks.

Well, Einstein, 3 homes with both Republican and Democrat candidate signs in their front yards hardly a combine make.

    1) Are these Democrats who prefer Zinke for Sheriff?
    2) Are the Republicans who like the job Franks has done?
    3) Are these independents exercising their 1st Amendment rights to express their preferred candidates irrespective of party?
    4) Are any of the homeowners personal friends with both candidates feeling obligated to support both friends?
    5) Are 2 neighbors apolitical posting the signs a 1 neighbors request?

Captain Queeg searching for “conspiracy” at every turn in a quest to manufacture “scandal” to mete out revenge upon those who hastened his fall from Grace?

  7. Why not? Prim brought in Newt Gingrich and we all know how focused on McHenry County Gingrich is.

As Hillary would say, “What difference does it make”

    It’s kind of funny really.

While most thoughtful people think that much more could be and would be accomplished if there was more cooperation between elected officials on both/all sides of the issues, when there is any alliance formed, the opposition will go on the attack.

Ain’t gonna happen, but what if the state’s attorney was a Democrat?

What would some of you say if Prim (or Zinke for that matter) announced that they would work hard to improve relations with the office?

  8. OMG, Fair Play!

Bill Primm is just a shill of the Establishment Combine in cahoots with Grand Wizard of the McHenry County Combine Jack Franks.

Strange that Mr. Primm has failed to disclose his allegiance & unflinching support of Supreme Grand Master of the Combine Mike Madigan.

    So, the Truth is out…..

Primm is a Democrat sleeper of the Madigan machine.

Get on it, Cal….expose this unholy Madigan/Franks/Primm cabal to the good people of McHenry County.

Seriously doubt that the NW Herald will expose the Truth of the Madigan/Franks/Primm axis of evil.

Hopefully, Duncan McHenry will notify his FBI contacts of the nefarious Madigan/Franks/Primm axis of evil. Who knows….

Primm’s GOP political allies may be a part of this evil cabal as well.

    Great investigative journalism Fair Play!

    Get on it, Cal.

  9. LOL!

Obviously someone is overlooking the dirty trickery of which the evil cabal is capable.

Anyone give any thought to Andy sneaking out in the dead of night and putting up Prim signs along with Frank’s signs to discredit him?

Perhaps it’s just Rahm Emanuel trying to expand his territory!

Jeez. How many more days of this silliness?

  10. Tell us, please, where the photo was taken.

    It brought a big smile.

  11. Appears to be the east end of St John’s Rd and Raffle Rd. Click on the photo and enlarge it you can read the sign.

    Pretty funny stuff
