A standing room only crowd heard former Congressman and now-WIND Radio talk show host Joe Walsh at a meeting of the Huntley Area Tea Party held at the Golden Coral in Algonquin Wednesday afternoon.

Walsh was a last-minute fill-in when the scheduled speaker was unable to make it.

Why?

“You made me who I am, so you call and I hop,” he explained.

Walsh joked that people had showed up because they were wondering “whether [U.S. Senator Mark Kirk] can still do his job.”

Tuesday night on his 5-8 PM show, Walsh asked, “Shouldn’t he step down?”

The discussion of Kirk took about fifteen minutes of his show.

“I don’t think he can do his job anymore,” Walsh told his listeners.

“We’ve reached the point where we have to ask the question.”

The first caller on the segment was highly negative.

Others, including a nurse who deals with stroke rehabilitation patients in DuPage County, gave medical terms for the symptoms that Kirk has shown on TV and agreed that he should take a medical leave of absence.

“Boy, did I get in trouble for that!” Walsh said.

  1. Oh sure, Joe, it’s not enough that you want to pollute our area with your dumb agenda, as a second-choice speaker of garbage, now you want to pick on poor Mark Kirk and publicly humiliate this man and tell him he can no longer work.

Keep it up, Joe, and you will generate enough people to make you face the fact you shouldn’t be allowed to be a ‘public’ speaker and you’re no longer capable because you didn’t win the election and we didn’t want you to represent us any more.

  2. Where was Walsh during the outcry of people who insisted he resign due to his domestic issues of the day?

    Did he do so??

Nope – he hid and kept his job until voters put him out on his keester.

Don’t go away mad, Joe — just go away.
