Harvard’s Walmart

Twice in the last two weeks Harvard Walmart shoppers have apparently tried to leave the store without paying for merchandise.

The Harvard Police report the following arrests for Retail Theft:

• On 10-31-14 at 1904 hrs, Harvard Police was dispatched to WalMart, 21101 McGuire Rd, Harvard regarding a Retail Theft. Cherie L. Nickles (f-30 yoa) was subsequently cited for Retail Theft and released with a court date of 12/01/14 at 1330 hrs.
• On 11-08-14 Mercedes Soto (f-20 yoa), 503 Dewey St., was arrested for retail theft after she took a DVD player from the Harvard Wal-Mart without paying for it. Soto was also charged with one count of obstructing an Officer after she refused to provide her name to the Officer, and two counts of resisting arrest. Soto was released with a court date of 12-17-14 at 1330 hrs.
