Buffalo Wild Wings Challenge to Benefit the Law Enforcement Torch Run for Special Olympics

Over the last three weeks, multiple Police Agencies took part in a fundraising challenge to benefit Special Olympics.

The Algonquin, Crystal Lake, Island Lake, Lake in the Hills, McHenry, and Woodstock Police Departments as well as the McHenry County Sheriff’s
Department took part in this event.

After each agency hosted their own night of fundraising at various Buffalo Wild Wings locations across McHenry County, the top three fundraising
departments were announced.

The Algonquin Police Department took first place, the McHenry Police Department took second place, and the Crystal Lake Police Department
took third place.

Overall, it is estimated that between the seven agencies, and with prize donations from Buffalo Wild Wings, the multiple events raised almost $7,000 for the Law Enforcement Torch Run for Special Olympics!

Thank you to all of the community members who came out at each agency’s event nights and thank you to Buffalo Wild Wings, Star 105.5, and Miller Coors for sponsoring the events.
