Jack Franks has given a second signal his willingness to impose a new tax on cats.
His first signal was when the McHenry County Board of Health approved the institution of a cat tax.
Here are the details published here on October 9th (and, incidentally, not yet mentioned in the newspaper of record, the Northwest Herald):
- $7 a year for sterilized cats
- $60 for a three-year license sexually active cats
- $17 for a three year registration of sterilized cats
- $10 for a late fee
