McHenry County Employee Compensation – We-Zi — 14 Comments

  1. Unfortunately our English alphabet only has 26 letters. Could you imagine how much fun could we have if it had, let’s say, 3,857 letters? We could go on forever complaining about how much money other people make and we don’t. Thankfully, our sunshine blogger treated us with a portrait of himself working around the clock at his journalism studio located somewhere at an undisclosed location in beautiful McHenry County. What did I tell you about all those free meals? Stay tuned…tic, tock, tic, tock, tic, tock, hug a blogger, tic, tock, tic, tock, tic, tock, meeeeeeoooooooowwwwwwwwwwwwww…

  2. Too many loafers getting too much money to do so little.

It’s gotta stop when the money runs out.

Well its about to crash leeches.

  3. Sunshine blogger?

WTF are you rambling about Angel R Llavona?

You’re obviously mentally ill and disappointed that you won’t be prancing around in the gay parade with your butt buddies.

Senior Llavona’s straightjacket and meds stat!

  4. Why do some county board members get more money than others?

Does Franks get to vote at county Bd mtgs?

  5. And Yes Angel needs attention, he was mailed to the United States from a Central American backwater, BY HIS OWN PARENTS at the age of 4 because they couldn’t stand him anymore.

  6. The base salary of County Board members is about $21,000.

However, all are eligible to have taxpayer-financed health and dental insurance.

Franks does not have a vote unless there is a tie.

He didn’t even have that power until State Senator Pam Althoff and State Rep. Mike Tryon sponsored a legislation to give it to him.

  7. Pam Althoff and Mike Tryon were great leaders.

They understand the great value of townships.

Quit trying to run them down on this blog!

  8. York is a jerk, but he laughs at all of us. He’s a grease monkey but makes over a $100k.

    Were the chumps.

  9. Thanks Cal for posting these.

Lesson to all prospective County Employees or folks looking for career start or change.

Go for the Jail Guard job.

Quickest way to 6 figure salary (lots of OT too) and a lifetime benefit of a pension amount that increases every year because of COLA.

I mean look at those other jobs listed, none are near the Jail Guards Compensation.

    Good for them I guess.

Bad for us since we all fund it and the lifetime pensions.

No 401ks for that bunch but plenty for us.

    We’re the Suckers.

Get your GED and go for the 6 figures job boys and girls.

College is for suckers too when that amount of money can be made without it.

Doesnt take all that long to get to it either.

Again good for them, just sorry I didnt do it.

Liked your appropriate closing Cal, Thats All Folks.

  10. The Illinois Municipal Retirement Fund (IMRF) is the pension fund for almosy all county employees.

It is the best funded major public pension fund in Illinois.

  11. Yes thank you, I looked the IMRF up and the overview the Public Policy Institute of Illinois said about it.

Who knew that if there’s ever a real financial crisis, the IMRF pensions get paid before roads, libraries or other local expenditures.

Its well funded, compared to other Public Sector/State Pension funds, but in trouble of its own according to the IMRF.

I learned a lot from this Compensation listing you sent out.

    And not just about Compensation.

    Thank for doing it.
