Nine Years for LSD Delivery

MAXWELL T. SWANSON SENTENCED TO NINE YEARS IN THE DEPARTMENT OF CORRECTIONS FOR UNLAWFUL DELIVERY OF A CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE

Patrick D. Kenneally, McHenry County State’s Attorney, announces that 27-year-old Maxwell T. Swanson of Lake in the Hills, Illinois, pled guilty to Unlawful Delivery of a Controlled Substance, a class X Felony, before the Honorable Judge Robert Wilbrandt on August 5, 2021.

The Illinois State Police – North Central Narcotics Task Force led an investigation into the defendant and found that the defendant delivered more than 200 but less than 600 doses of a substance containing LSD on November 13, 2019.

Swanson was sentenced to nine years in the Illinois Department of Corrections.

The investigation was led by Special Agent Young of the Illinois State Police North Central Narcotics Task Force and was prosecuted by Judy Shammo of the McHenry County State’s Attorney’s Office.
