Usually they are denied bond or prohibited from leaving the jurisdiction of the court and their passports are confiscated at a minimum.
Trump, who has a private plane, is free to travel anywhere and did not have to post any bond.
Does Trump really want to be treated like everyone else charged with similar offenses?
I will bet that even if convicted, he will not see the inside of a jail cell so long as the case remains in the hands of Judge Cannon who has stated already that he is entitled to “special deference” as a former President.
